Matt Hamilton - head coach

A native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Matt is in his second season as the Head Coach of the Steam. Previous to the Steam, Matt was the Head Coach of the Bradford Rattlers. He played Jr. hockey with the Schreiber Diesels before attending Utah State University where he played for five seasons scoring 280 points. He then went on to make his professional debut for VIRKIÄ in the II-divisioona of Finland. He then played for the Berkshire Battalion of the FHL, where he also served as a player-coach.





Bri played in the NCAA ECAC West for 3 years and finished her final 2 years in Canada playing in the USport OUA.  She graduated with a double major in Criminology and Psychology.

She started her University career at Chatham University, Pittsburgh, PA leading the team in points with 18 in 25 games.  She was also named ECAC Player of the Week for November 11, 2013.

2014/15 she continued her career at Oswego State University, NY appearing in 26 games in her 1st season.  She scored her 1st goal as a Laker in a win over New England College on November 11, 2014.  11 days later she scored her 1st collegiate hat trick in a 4-0 win over Potsdam.  Her 12 goals on the season tied her at 7th on the all-time records for a single season.  Her 20 points that season put her 4th on the all-time single season records.

The 2015/16 season saw her ever present in the 27 games played by the Lakers.  She finished with 13 points (6g, 7a) and was named Oswego State Female Athlete of the Week on Nov 30, 2015.

Due to the drop in the Canadian Dollar Bri made the tough decision to move back home and finished her final 2 seasons playing for the University of Western Mustangs.  Her 1st season saw her playing defence with 4 assists on the seson.  In her senior year she moved back up to forward.  In this year the Mustangs were crowned Division Champions and silver medallists in the USport Championships.

BRAD RITTER - Assitant Coach

A native of Brantford, Ontario, Brad is in his second season as an Assistant Coach for the Steam. Previous to the Steam, Brad played two seasons in the GMHL with the Bradford Rattlers. He then went on to play professional hockey from 2009 to 2015.
