Steam Fall In Season Opener

September 15, 2019

It wasn't the start we were hoping for as the new look Steam under the guidance of Head Coach Matt Hamilton travelled to the Vale Centre in Port Colborne to face the Niagara Whalers in their home opener.

In a pretty even first period Slovak Marek Ondrasky opened the scoring for the Steam with an unassisted PPG on 7:56.  Unfortunately this woke up the home side who pulled level at 10:20.

Niagara then added 8 to run out 9-1 winners as the Steam were outshot 48-28 on the night.

Tuesday night we travel to North York to face the Renegades.  Puck drop at Canlan Ice Sports is 7:45pm
